Chatter people, listen to yourselves! You talk about "free speech", being "tolerant"...BS! The Halloween thread is another example of trying to stifle someone else's opinion because it is different from the majority.
You people are hypocrits and of the worst kind, because you don't even see it yourself. If Elias has his beliefs and he wants to express them, get off his back!
I hate to burst your bubble but there are only two kinds of people in the world...The Good...The Bad. Those that choose to do good in their life and those that only choose to do bad. So your question is can't a good person do a bad thing, of course! We are all human. But it is what we do after we do that bad thing. Do we feel bad for it. Do we try to correct it, do we try and change so that we don't do it again.
A bad person is one who does something bad and keeps doing that bad all through their life. A bad person is one who has no conscious. Who has no empathy for others. Those that are incapable of feeling pain or heartache.
As far as little children doing bad, which some call pranks and others call just being kids. Yes, they are bad children right now!! If they are allowed to continue to destroy others' property and do things that can cause mental or physical or property damage to someone else, that is most certainly not GOOD.
Do I think they are going to burn in hell for what they are doing? No! But I am not the ultimate Judge of that. But by their fruits you shall know them the Bible says.
I read alot of true crime and the majority of those serial killers, those sadistic animals had a childhood where they were not taught how to treat people or animals. Some of them started out at an early age thinking it was okay to hurt people or hurt animals and then as they got older to get the thrill they had to move on to more evil doings.
My point is this, don't be so quick to Judge Elias because of how he feels about Halloween. If you don't want to hear the opinions of others on a thread than don't start that thread!! When you start dictating how everyone is suppose to be responding or what they shouldn't bring up, it is no longer a public forum, it is a one-sided all I want to hear is my opinion joke!!

Thanks Evening News
I want to publicly thank Shea from the Evening News for graciously printing my Letter to the Editor. I almost said Article but evidently that term ruffles the feathers of Kelley Curran of the EN so I will be more careful in the future.
I have been thanked by some for the arti...oops the letter. I have been criticized by others. I have even been accused that it was self-promoting and also that I was just trying to start Sh$#. Well, I don't really know how a simple letter to the editor could start doggy doo unless of course you find it necessary to get on the Chatter and spew your nasty little venom, but who would do that?
One person even threatened to stop reading any of my "crap" and accused me of calling her friend a negative name. Of course, when my husband called them on it they couldn't back their statement up so they did the only thing they could do, they retreated.
I was amused that Supermike commented that he didn't care what the intent of the writer was, that "any press is good press". You are right SM and you would have rather pulled each eyelash out one at a time before you would have given Abbysnana any credit directly. lol
I enjoyed writing it and will continue to submit letters when I get the urge. As far as Kelley's accusation of my letter being self-promoting there may have been some truth in that. It is my intention to draw as much attention to my blog (s) as possible because I am having so much fun with them that I want to share it with others. I never would have imagined that I would already be over 10000 viewers in such a short time.
Just remember, I might draw people to check out my blog, but I have no control how many times a day they return. I guess there must be something here that keeps bringing them back!!

Who is this guy Urban?
Do you suppose Webster is rolling over in his grave? Someone mentioned the other day on the Chatter about American's "dumbing down". Is that what we have done by using words from this "Urban Dictionary."
So this site was founded by this computer science geek in 1999. The Urban Dictionary claims to contain slang or subculture words, phrases, and phenomena not found in standard dictionaries. (really) It says most words have multiple definitions.
I am going to ask the obvious question here. What exactly is wrong with the good old fashion Webster’s Dictionary? It has been working for many years without any problems. Was it not hip enough? Was it not sensible enough?
We have these supposedly college educated people using words like "Shtuff". According to the Urban Dictionary it means (When you are about to say Sh&% but decide to say stuff). But of course.
Has our society gone insane? Do we really have to dumb ourselves down to keep up with the rappers and gangs? Do we want our children growing up and referring to our Government as "the man" and "they want to bring us down".
I am not sure about the rest of my readers, but Webster’s Dictionary has been doing fine for me over the last 40 years and if the rest of society wants to be hip or cool and use words from this web based Urban Dictionary, then by all means, help yourself. I prefer to sound uncool but intelligent rather than cool and ignorant.

I have a NEW BLOG
I have been working on a new Blog and I still don't have it exactly how I want it but it is a start. It will not focus on the Chatter at all or anyone on the Chatter unless it is my fellow bloggers. I will be posting about personal experiences, family, life, love and anything else that may come to mind. I hope you will join me on my new blog as well and leave suggestions and comments. Thanks!

The Wonderful World of Chatter (Published in The Evening News today)
CLARK COUNTY — The wonderful world of Chatter
Jeffersonville — we have our own soap opera. What should we call it — “As the Jeffersonville Turns,” “All My Hoosiers” “Days in Jeff’s Life?”
You have heard the Internet being referred to as “The Information Superhighway.” If that is the case, Jeffersonville has the longest highway with many intriguing tourist attractions.
Not only do we have this paper to get our local news from, we have the local forum Clark County Chatter, several spin-off blogs, Hoosiertaxpayer’s Batblog, Queen of CCC, Goliathandwimmens, GrannyGrumblins and Crazy Neighborlady — just to mention a few — that there seems to be no need to leave the comfort of your own home to know the happenings of our town.
You can keep up with the current politics, school board excitement, who drove drunk, what the mayor is doing behind closed doors, what kind of underwear was bought with city credit cards — not to mention funny videos and music of all kinds. We have it all.
What The Evening News doesn’t have in print, you can rest assured that you can find out about it on any of the above mentioned. Heck, our own editor of the paper and many of his employees practically live on the Chatter when they are not on the job — or even when they are on the job.
Do not underestimate the power of words. I have personally seen this forum and these blogs bring out the best and the worst in people. You have people insulting one another, accusing one another and worshipping one another — never a dull moment.
Don’t get me wrong, I love it and I am right there in the middle of it all. Free speech is alive and well in Jeffersonville — let’s keep it that way!

Still runnin Scared from Sarah
Why does the left still find it necessary to diss Sarah Palin any chance they get.
You still have your stupid pictures coming up on the Chatter comparing her facial expressions to unattractive people's facial expressions while making fun of others looking like aliens (and no you are the ignoramus RiverFox) because i didn't believe that was Palin (as if the people posting the pictures look any better on their best days?)
She isn't running for anything anymore but they still can't help themselves and I for the life of me can only assume they are terrified that she might decide to run in the 2012 Presidential Election and it scares them to death. Why? If they think she is so unqualified and just a dingbat why are they so worried.
Could it be because they know how easy it was for the "Community Organizer" to become President. The muslim-like, no birth certificate, apologist Obama drama. The folks on the right hollered and screamed not to elect this man because we knew he was not experienced enough to handle a neighborhood, little lone an entire country. Only now that people are seeing the devastation he is bringing to this country do they realize that maybe just maybe, Sarah and John may have been a better choice.
I was on the website today called "Us for Palin" and this guy Gary summed it up pretty nicely.
"I am forever tickled by democrats. They run around telling people that strong leaders like Sarah Palin are “inconsequential” or my favorite “dumb.” They claim to be our intellectual superiors, knowing “what’s best for us.” The funniest thing about our “intellectual betters” is how truly ignorant they are.
As always, democrats tell you who they live in abject fear of. There are no “stop Olympia Snowe before we all die” campaigns out there!
Say what they will, this private citizen, this mother of five from Wasilla, Alaska, has these people scared for their political lives. Frankly, they should be. Time and time again Sarah has proven she has the power to take these people on, and defeat them from her Facebook page! One can only imagine the destroyed democrat political careers that will dot the landscape once Sarah actually hit’s the campaign trail!
Next time you hear a democrat tell you just how “inconsequential” Sarah Palin is, remember what they are really saying is Sarah Palin is a strong and proven leader who scares the bejeezus out of them."
He has hit the nail on the head. Nothing makes more people act like crying little baby idiots then when they feel threatened. The claws come out whether it be someone scaring them politically or someone who may be the author of a simple little local blog. It just seems to be in people's nature to think everything is a personal competition. Go figure.

The difference between a Woman and a Lady
When my husband called my attention to the post that TrackRat put on the Chatter about someones "right" to be an American I was appalled.
Here is their quote referring to Laura Ingraham and her mom:
"Yeah that Laura Ingraham really paid her dues to be an American didn't she? What did she have to do again? Oh yeah! This was the country her mom put out in!"
If this wasn't disgusting enough, two of the regular posters, one being a guest columnist to the Evening News, Kelley Curran and the other poster with the screen name "Jules" who frequents the Clark County Chatter and my blog, thought this statement was absolutely hilarious.
Both of these women have daughters I believe. Would they truly want their own moms to say they are here on this earth only because they "put out".
I am all for humor but so many times I have seen these women cross the line and bring disgrace to themselves and in this case to their gender.
Here is my plea to them, please show more respect for yourselves and for all the women that you know in your lives. Don't encourage such self-loathing statements such as this one and do yourself and all the women of the world a favor. Women have enough battles in the world they have to fight, they don't need people to get the idea that when we give birth to our children it was because we were willing to "put out".

Mean People
It is almost like an epidemic, people being just downright mean. No matter where you go, what you do you have to endure mean people.
You can't walk out your door and get down the road without some other driver flipping you the bird or screaming at you with this distorted look on their face and half the time you don't even know what you did!
I had the audacity recently to walk up to the counter at Mcdonalds when someone else was standing far back deciding what they wanted but clearly I was suppose to know this how? I apologized when I heard them make a nasty comment, but it didn't matter, they just wanted to stay mad.
People cannot state their own opinon anymore and have others just agree to disagree. No way, let's just get downright nasty. Let's get personal and call them nuts or trolls. Let's criticize them for intelligent reasons like signing off on all their posts with the word "Peace", yea, I can see how that was cruel and inhuman.
Let's be all nasty because we have to fork over five whole dollars to get into a game but turn around and spend the same amount of money on a pack of cigarettes or a six pack. Let's just blame the server at a restaurant because our steak was overcooked and refuse to leave a tip for a man or woman who makes $2.80 an hour but go waste $20.00 on a lottery ticket scratchoff.
This world is just going crazy. You have husbands killing their wives and blaming it on caffeine. You have women killing their babies because they can't stand to hear the crying, or you have their boyfriends breaking the babies leg because he wants it to lay down.
Just look back at some of my post. I have people calling me a twat and criticizing me for writing on topics they don't want me to. Freedom of speech means everything to people until you talk about something contrary to what they believe.
It almost seems like people have to try really hard anymore just to be nice. Just to be courteous and thoughtful. Doesn't the word Respect matter to anyone anymore? Can't you just show others the same respect that you yourself expect. Why do people have to feel so intimidated when someone attains success. Why does it have to be a competition all the time. Can't we just be happy for one another, why do we have to try harder to degrade others. Does it make us feel better?
Scientist have come up with diet pills, pills to stop smoking, pills to have a better sex life, pills to help you sleep and even pills to stabilize your mood. When are they going to come up with a pill to make everyone NICE!

Charity Begins At Home
You may be wondering how it is that I can come up with so many different topics. I will be honest with you, it is usually because of a dream I have had, or something I see on Television or perhaps just observing a person or persons while I am out.
I passed by a guy on the road this morning and he was holding one of those signs. It said something about traveling and needing money. Anyway, I noticed one car slowing down and it made me ask myself, what does the statement "Charity Begins At Home" mean?
So I came home and did what any normal person with a computer would do, I googled it. I got a multitude of hits. Here was one in particular:
"Not so much in the matter of giving money necessarily, but in being helpful to one another.
Isn’t it strange that we are often so quick to help out when a stranger asks for directions or for some other information?
We should likewise be quick to help out in our homes, in fact, even more ready to do so.
How often one member of the family struggles with burdens while others of the family seem to be blind as to their opportunities to be of help.
For instance, within the family, are there a number of children to get ready before a certain hour? Are there a lot of dishes to be washed? Especially should husbands of “working wives” recognize the demands on their busy wives.
Charity also begins at home when it comes to putting up with others’ weaknesses and shortcomings. Sometimes we tend to make allowances for outside friends and workmates
Why not be even more ready and willing to put up with the shortcomings and weaknesses of our own family."
Wow, how profound is that. Maybe not to you, but it hit me like a ton of bricks. How quick are you to help with a charitable cause at your work, or buy candy bars for a friends child's fundraiser at his/her school. How quick are you to pack up your yardsale leftovers and dump them at the nearest goodwill because you couldn't sell them.
Be honest with yourself, really honest for once. How many of us actually stop and consider what the members of our own family must be going through at this very minute. Are they elderly and have trouble doing the day to day activities that we all take for granted.
Do you have family members who are struggling because of health issues and loss of work and are finding themselves with no income and wondering how they are going to put food on the table or keep their lights on.
Could it be that some of us have convinced ourself that if the family is not right under our own roof that it's not our problem. Have we become so callous and uncaring that we judge our family and believe that they reap what they sow. Are we so ready to snub our nose at our own flesh and blood because we think our good friends are more important in our lives than our own mom and dad, sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews?
Sometimes I feel completely ashamed of myself when I think of all the times I have thought of only myself or just my household when having dinner or a get together and forgetting there are others in my family who may be sitting at home longing to just have company.
I know I can do better. Can you?

Awfully Quiet at the Clark County Chatter
Is it just me or has anyone noticed it has been awfully quite (or boring) at the Chatter in the last few weeks.
It is almost as if NSBHM has taken a step back and realized that his constant Galligan and Wilder dissing was finally getting old.
We did recently have the GCCS fiascal concerning Coach Rabe, but like with anything else, once everyone biotches and moans about it for awhile, what else is there to say.
I was almost tempted to ask Larry Wilder or Keith Fetz on their Facebook's to do something naughty or underhanded just so the Chatter folks will have something to talk about again. I think the most talked about thing over the weekend was probably the new Restaurants opening up.
Come on Mayor Galligan, jump on a bulldozer or Holler at NHBSM across the street again. Someone from the City please jump into one of your work vehicles and ram into someone, do something!
Even the local blogs have been pretty stale lately. I have been anxiously waiting for HT's rendition of The Wizard of Oz, even if he has me as an old wicked witch, that would at least be something!
Goliath is getting so desperate for a story that he had to turn to little Sprout to come up with her own Top Ten list.
I have to admit, the most interesting things I have seen lately is hand dancing on Crazy Neighbor Lady and Moving Day on GG's blog. Appropriately though, in honor of it being the Lord's Day I did read Elias' New Blog The Truth About the Bible.
Well, hopefully coming up on a new week things will get back to normal again, the bickering and fighting will continue at the Chatter, HT will post some new Gone Fishing Pictures and me, the Queen of the CCC will get back to her old self and start pissing people off, hey, it's the least I can do. :)

GO Red Devils.....STOP!!!!
If I didn't know better I would think that GoRedDevils from the Chatter was none other than crybaby Robbie Valentine. Geesh!
Do you have any idea what a fool you are making of yourself with all your whining and biotching about the decision of the School Board to allow Rabe to keep his job.
The things you are saying on the Chatter, would you really have the balls to say all of that to Mark Pavey's face. If you have a legitimate problem with Mr. Pavey and the other Board Members who stood up for what was right, then why don't you be a man (or woman) and go to them face to face and let them know how you feel instead of hiding behind a stupid little red devil avatar and spew your insults.
I can only imagine that you must have a son on the team that probably doesn't get to play much. You are more than likely one of those parents who sit in the stands and yells and screams and totally embarrases your child. Yea, we have all had to experience parents like you over the years and I am sure your parents did the same thing when you were into sports so I will assume you don't know any better.
On top of all this now you are crying about someone other than your wife or the friend of your wife or perhaps even you not getting the Administrative Assistant's job...once again boo hoo.
Is this the way you conduct your whole life? Whenever you don't get what you want you want to blame everyone else instead of taking a moment to consider the problem might just be you?
Go home, call your buddy RV or Sexton or Dr. D and call a little meeting together and maybe you all can cry on one another's shoulders. There is a new Board in town.

Top Blog!
Thanks to everyone. I have had my blog for less than 2 months and I have 12 followers (and yes, they are real people) and almost 7000 visitors. I actually didn't even start my counter until about a month ago. I am glad everyone is enjoying all the posts and comments. I am having a great time!
The Evening News..Not a Rag...But a Gag
Seriously. Are you kidding me?
Our local paper has become so desperate that they are allowing the local columnist to run a pretend (ridiculous) conversation between Larry Wilder and Tom Galligan.
After reading that ridiculous excuse for a column I couldn't believe my eyes. Have we become so insecure and petty in this town that instead of being real men and changing things at the polls we have now stooped to writing plays in our local paper.
Isn't that what blogs are for. Isn't that what the Clark County Chatter is for. Now we have this immature childlike Editor running our paper who allows all his columnists to act like 12 year old children.
How about this then. I happen to be walking past the Editor's office at the Evening News and I looked into the peephole in the door knob and this is the conversation I heard.
Person 1 - Our plan is working. Now that we have our local "Public Forum" and my Paper we can run this city the way that we want.
Person 2 - You can count on me boss, I will continue doing whatever I can to make sure no one disrupts our plan. I will ban them!
Person 1 - Do you think we are still fooling people into thinking my name is really "Mike" instead of Shea?
Person 2 - Yes boss. If anyone even gets close to the truth, I ban them.
Person 1 - It is very crucial that we get Mike Moore to run this city. Then we will have complete control to do and say whatever we please.
Person 2 - Yes boss. I spend 24/7 tracking down any potential troublemakers. I scan their facebook pages, blogs, I keep an eye on all IP addresses and distribute their pictures when necessary. If I find anyone who has their own voice, I will ban them!
Person 1 - It was a great idea to start those Google Ads, the posters think they are just helping to keep the Chatter up and running, little do they know that they are contributing to Mike's campaign, ha ha ha!!
Person 2 - Yes boss. You can count on me, I will continue to work with Honest (tee hee) Mike to make sure that we dig up all the dirt we can on our local politicians, and if there is none, I will make sure to create some. I will do whatever I have to do for you boss.
Person 1 - My loyal sidekick, I can always count on you.
See how easy that is, for some reason though, I don't think Shea would allow me to contribute this to the "Letter to the Editor"...lol!!

Have you forgotten?
I told my husband that when we got home from the JDRF Walk today that I preferred not to watch anything on TV that had to do with 9/11. It wasn't because I didn't care, or that I had forgotten, it was because I never have forgotten. I think about it constantly.
When our own fellow americans get on TV and fight back and forth over the dumbest things, when we get on forums and call each other names or make fun of one another because our opinions or beliefs are different, I remember. When I go out and people are rude and disrespectful and no one wants to stop and help someone who needs it, I remember.
I remember right after 9/11 all the neighbors were flying flags, people were driving around with all the bumper stickers and we support the troops and all that. About 2 months later everyone was pretty much back to their old hateful disrespectful selves again.
The 9/11 conspiracy theories started, the let's blame Bush for wanting to go to War to stop another 9/11 from happening. It didn't take long for all of the support to stop. People just want to sit around and name call, criticize, accuse, and belittle the one President who stood up and declared that we will protect our country no matter what.
You had your idiots who wanted to scream to the top of their lungs that Bush just went to war for his daddy, or that he planned the whole 9/11 or that he really didn't care about the troops. How sad that these same "Americans" who were so ready to jump on the first plane and volunteer to help with that tragedy are now ready to allow our current President to make all nice with the same type of people who tried to destroy our American values that day.
Let's just play nice with the Muslims because they are such peaceful people. Let's not stereotype them just because the 9/11 murderers were Extremist. Okay, you be friends with them, I prefer to keep my head up out of the sand and my eyes on the sky in case another peaceful muslim decides to take another plane ride.

Happiness is..
Seeing my little grandaughter's face first thing in the morning. She has been sleeping in a pacnplay in Jacob's room and when she wakes up he has been bringing her in my room and seeing that little sweet face and smile first thing in the morning just makes my whole day.
I just love to hold her and kiss her sweet little cheeks. I look at her and Brendan and I cannot even fathom how anyone could hurt little babies. How they can abuse them or hurt them in anyway. Such innocence. They completely rely on you to take care of them and protect them.
Brendan is only four months old but when you smile at him or talk to him he just grins and coos (is that a word?). I would give anything to have them closer so that I could spend everyday with them. I never get tired of them not even for one minute.
For those of you who have your grandchildren close by please don't take it for granted. Enjoy every second you can with them. Take them places and spend quality time with them. I only get to see mine maybe 2 or 3 times a year and if they move to California it will be less than that. I am going to enjoy every minute I can with both of them.
When they are back home I try and skype with them several times a week. I know its not the same thing as being there but at least we get to see each other. I want them to know how much their Nana loves and adores them.
Sometimes when I haven't seen them or my Tara for awhile I will have those moments where I just cry and long for just the smell of them. I know that sounds strange but they are all a part of me and I thank God he blessed me with them every day.
I have 2 more days with them and I am going to spoil them rotten and give them so many hugs and kisses that they get chapped!!

I feel lost
Since I married Chris eleven years ago, I promised myself I would never take him for granted or what we have together, and I think I have kept that promise to myself. Like any other married couple we have are ups and downs, we have our squabbles but have never gone to bed angry and never say things to one another that we will regret.
Since I have known Chris I rarely remember him being sick. He had the occasional cold or headache but that is about it. He told me that he had only been in the hospital one time and that was when he was 7 years old and he had his tonsils removed. Another thing he told me was he had this immense fear of needles. When our son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and we had to learn to give injections, I watched the terror in his eyes of the thought of having to inject metal into our little 2 year old toddler. Of course, like any good parent, you learn to do what you have to do for your child. I helped him out by ordering a device that the syringe went into and he just had to push a button to inject the needle, good for him and good for our little one.
When Chris got a cold a couple of weeks ago I assumed he caught it from me who caught it from Jacob. After a week of coughing I noticed he seem to get worse, even having a fever which is something me and Jacob never had. It wasn't just the coughing and fever, I noticed he just didn't seem to be acting normal.
To make a long post shorter, he ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia. He had to get over his fear of needles quickly because he has been a human pin cushion while in there. Before the pneumonia even cleared up he has now gone into Afib. He has been given antibiotics and went through a procedure whereby they had to use the paddles on him to try and shock the heart back into rhythm, but to no avail.
I am not sure how long he is going to be in the hospital but I know that not having him here at night is like not having part of myself here. I go to bed at night and can only imagine what people must feel when they no longer have their spouse with them at all anymore. If I didn't appreciate him enough these last few days have given me many new reasons to appreciate the love of my life. Chris was a gift from God to me because he knew I had been through alot in my life and he sent Chris to me so that someone could love me unconditionally. Chris is the sweetest and most generous man I have ever known and I still can't believe he is mine.
Go hug your spouse today, tell them how much you love and appreciate them, you never know if you will have another chance to.

Video Contest (The Real Winner)
I am having my own video contest. And the winner is my Grumpy Granny and Abbysnana Video. The reasons I think that it is number one over all the other recent videos on other blogs are because it did not take alot of time, it was great imagination yet it could be true and I think it was short and sweet. I think some people go way over the top with their vivid imaginations and leave most people confused with their point if they even have one. I never wanted to enter anything I have done on Goliaths blog for one reason, they already had their minds made up and I would never have a snowballs chance in he (double hockey sticks) to ever win anyone's votes there. So, I know who the winner really is and dang proud of it! (Yay me)

A Public Forum or a Business
Here we go. I was wondering how long it was going to take for the Clark County Chatter to be turned into a fulltime money making business. I understand the whole donation plea for some simple expenses to help keep the forum going but the following post from SuperMike says so much more. What do you think.
"This message is just to let everyone know that in the coming days and weeks, you may begin to see ads on the Chatter. The long-term goal is to end the reliance on donations to keep the site running, so that there is a steady revenue stream to help meet expenses. Please note that this is NOT an indication that more donations are needed. However, funding the site is important. There are other plans, as well. This is something that has been in the planning phase for a while, but is just kind of slow to fruition.
Intially, this will be a two-fold experiment. It will begin with tasteful ads from Google that will be placed throughout the site in strategic locations. The goal is to find the balance between 'too many' and 'not enough'. We do NOT want to overwhelm folks with ads, but we DO want them to be prominant enough to be noticed.
Eventually, the desire is to transition the ads from Google to actual ads for local businesses, which will be sold via the site in some capacity. No rates have been set yet, and no dates for launching local ads can be anticipated at this time. There are still a lot of technical "kinks' to work out. However, once the site is ready a post will be made.
Initially, the goal was to try and make the Chatter ad-free. However, I do not like feeling like I would constantly need to "tap into" the same folks for donations. There are many benefits to using non-offensive ads (unlike some which showed up on the old site). Foremost, as noted a steady revenue stream can be generated for the site to help meet the annual expenses of domain renewals, hosting, forum maintenance fees, insurance, and even advertising the site. Secondly, the desire is to eventually use some of the funds generated to 'give back" to the community in the form of grants for beautification, preventing community disease, homeless causes, etc. And finally, of course, a LOT of time is spent managing this site.... much more significant than if I were just posting here. It would be nice to receive some minor compensation for that. And IF we can do all of that, we may be able to use our donation function toward other causes, as well.
ColtsFan is helping me out with this initiative (testing, etc), so if anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to let one of us know. During the set-up phase, you may see ads shift and move, as well as some components of the site. Thanks in advance for your patience. And if you are a local business owner who may be interested in advertising here, please let us know!! We already have a list begun of local companies that would be interested in advertising here, and it would be great to add yours!
And of course... PLEASE CLICK!! By clicking through the ads and perhaps viewing the site to where you are directed for a moment, you will be helping fund the Chatter!"
Thanks,
Mike
First of all, as Mike well knows, you are not suppose to ask people to "click" on Ads. I had to find out the hard way that is a strick violation of the policy of these Ad folks. Second, He claimed in a previous post that his domain was paid up for 3 years. I really do not see any extra cost in running a forum. It looks to me like Mike and Coltsfan want to make this site profitable for their own needs. If that is the case they just need to say so and stop all this bs about wanting to give back to the community. Looks like this "public forum" strickly run by these two dictators is becoming a little more than just a voice for the community. They have the nerve to talk about Galligan and his GOB network? It is a shame when some people can turn something that is suppose to be for the people into their own little bank account.
Start getting out your checkbooks Chatter folks, the collection plate is about to be passed around!!
