Birthers

I was going to google the actual wiki definition of birthers and copy and paste but to me it just makes more sense to give you my take on what birthers mean.  From what I understand from listening to different radio talk show host, posters on forums and the such birthers are just a bunch of conservative idiot tea party followers that have nothing better to do than to question our President's citizenship.  How dare we!  I thought it was just people who wanted to see their President's certificate of live birth?

At first I was thinking, I don't really care where he came from, either way he was not my choice for President.  But then I got to thinking, if this was a question about a white President the NAACP and Rev. Sharpton would be all over it like white on rice.  Just because President Obama is black we are not suppose to question a single thing about this stranger who has our country in his hands because we will be labeled a racist.  I am not here to defend whether or not I am a racist, people will believe what they want, regardless.

I do care whether our President is a citizen because I feel he could only really have our best interest at heart if he was actually one of us.  Even if he is found to be a US citizen, and he probably would be, what in the world is on that dang Birth Certificate to cause such a slew of dialogue on many blogs and forums in our nation.

Maybe Mr. Obama's parents are not really who he said they were.  Maybe he was too embarrassed to let us see a birth certificate with no father listed.  Maybe his name was Erkel or something, I don't know.  What is the big deal! Barack if you are truly a fatherless child that would just make you like many children born in the US, it may even make those horrible tea partiers more sympathetic to you, who knows.

Here is my reason for writing this Blog.  For all of you that write nasty, negative remarks about people that question their President's citizenship, stop!  Just like you, we have a right to inquire about anything.  It doesn't make us clueless, or nut jobs or freaks or whatever else you want to call us, it makes us human.

Just like you may question someone's military service or how much their wives spent on clothes, we want to know if our President has something to hide on his Birth Certificate, so get over it!

At first when OB was elected I was just PO'd that anyone would elect this guy!...To me where he was born was never an issue...his mom was American, he's an American!, but after talking to my wife about it, I realized that there might be something wrong, with his lack of disclosure, as Lou Dobbs said "if there is nothing wrong, then release it"!!! I don't think it's about where he was born, but there is something he's hiding....different dad?......different mom?...names changed? Whatcha hiding there Barry? Chris

I got this article from KRDO News Channel 13 here in the Springs and I wanted to share it.

Springs Man Uses President's Social Security Info

A Colorado Springs man who doesn't think President Obama was born in America, now believes he has even more proof.

Col. Greg Hollister, USAF Ret., used the President's social security number to obtain, some say fraudulently, a copy of Obama's social service registration card from 1980.

He claims the document raises questions about the President's past, so does Private Investigator Susan Daniels. She gave Hollister the President's social security number.

"My whole interest has been why is the President of the United States using a fraudulent social security number?" she told KRDO Newschannel 13.

She said the draft registration document sent to Hollister here in Colorado Springs confirms the social security number the president used.

"He was a 15 year old in high school in Hawaii and the number he was issued was from Connecticut," she said, "He should have a Hawaiian social security number - like his half sister does."

She said she's not questioning the President's birthplace, but is concerned about the social security number issue.

"He's using a phony number," and she believes it's because the President is trying to "hide something from the past."

Some, like Col. Hollister, think it all points to the president not being born in America.

Col. Hollister could face criminal impersonation charges, he didn't want to speak on the record with us, but he did send us a statement:

"I felt as a private citizen, I was exercising my rights to gain information on an elected official. I turned over all related documents to government officials for appropriate action."

He also told us he has not been contacted by anyone in law enforcement about using the social security number to obtain the federal document.
