Everytime I see the promo for the show Toddlers and Tiaras it literally makes me sick at my stomach. I saw one today and they showed a couple of these little girls dressed like hookers and their mom was teaching them how to "shimmy" and throw seductive kisses! Have they all forgotten the murder of Jon Benet?
What happened to little girls just being little girls. There is nothing wrong with putting your little girl in a pageant but why can't you just dress her in a "little girl" dress. Why can't you allow her to show her real talent of singing or dancing or twirling the baton. Instead, we want to teach our little toddlers how to perform the act of seduction. These moms are putting hair extensions in these babies, applying heavy makeup and even having them wear fake teeth. They are taking them to get spray tans and teasing their hair bigger than the girls themselves. Do they really want to entice those pedophiles who probably frequent those shows just so they can take pictures of these innocent little girls and go home and do who knows what while looking at those photographs?
This isn't just going on, on television. My husband and I were at the YMCA today in New Albany, and there were 5 or 6 girls, probably no more than 9 or 10 and they were wearing these disgusting looking bathing suits. On top of that they were not trying to be modest in any way, not caring how much of their top or bottom private parts were showing out of the suit!
My 9 year old son was actually embarrassed the way these girls were jumping around in front of him. It is obvious their mother or father could care less that they are showing their private parts to whoever may be there lurking.
I am 49 years old and I cannot imagine showing certain parts to just anyone. There are just some things you should keep for your husband's eyes only and when you are a young girl and do not have more pride in the way you look or how modest you should be, imagine what they are going to be like when they are in their teens, and we wonder why girls are getting raped or pregnant.
Let your little girls be little girls! They grow up too fast as it is, why rush it!

I absolutely agree!! This is just another form of child abuse. Some of these little girls have been pushed into this when they are only babies, barely walking. There are so many other things these parents could be encouraging these children to participate in like learning to play an instrument, or something that will help them in furthering their education someday. This kind of exposure is simply teaching them that only looks is what counts and teaching them to be seductive is no different than a parent pushing them into prostitution. Shame on you parents!!!!
