Beware of False Prophets...
If you have any knowledge of the bible, you know this to be one of the warnings in the bible, especially as it refers to our last days upon this earth.
When I was younger, I used to think that a prophet was something like a wizard who would try and cast spells on me!
Now that I am older and a bit wiser my definition has changed. I truly believe there were true vindicated prophets throughout history and even in my generation. How do I know this? Can I prove this? The answer is no, I cannot prove it to you but I know it to be true myself. Isn't that what is most important, that we are not put upon this earth to prove such things to others, for we only have to answer for ourselves.
Imagine how family and/or friends of William Branham felt when people were sure he was a prophet for our day and time. Some to this day believe he was Jesus Christ himself, even though he never claimed that. There are others who believe he was a fake, although there is no documented proof that he ever took advantage of anyone, monetary or otherwise. As a matter of fact, there is evidence that he was offered many riches and fame, and turned them down flat to live a humble life.
I have studied a bit about William Branham. Despite the opinions of others, I truly believe he was a true Man sent from God to fulfill a purpose. Once that purpose was fulfilled, he was taken off the earth.
The one thing I could not find in my readings over the years, is where anyone could prove the work that God did through him as being fake? I have not found one instance where William Branham willingly or knowingly deceived the people that he ministered to.
If we believe in God..and the Word of God to be the Bible, why would we think it impossible to have a prophet, sent by God in our time as it was back in the bible days?
This brings me to the many "false prophets" I have read about over the years. Men like Jim Jones who claimed to be God's prophet and convinced all those followers to drink koolaid laced with cyanide. I think about David Koresh and Warren Jeffs, these so-called prophets or men of God who were proven to be nothing but sick individuals who fooled many people into believing they were something they were not.
My gut tells me that if God were to really send a prophet to minister to the people, this person would have to not only talk the talk, but most assuredly walk the walk. Can you imagine God choosing someone that has molested little children in his lifetime? Can you imagine God using a man who smokes like a chimney everyday while proclaiming to be a messenger from God? Can you imagine God using a man who use to abuse his children as well as drink hard liquor on a daily basis. Doesn't common sense tell you that God would want his Prophet or Messenger to be someone who lives an undefiled life. Maybe not from the beginning of their life, but once they realize that God wants to use them, it would make sense that they would live their life as blemish free as possible.
I suppose if I were the man or woman who claimed to be a Messenger from God, or a Prophet and knew I had that type of unclean life, I would get to the point of convincing others that it was all lies. I would cry daily that it was the devil trying to destroy my ministry. I would call anyone who did not agree with me evildoers. I would claim that all the evil that I have done to my family was made up by them. All of the awful things that have happened in my life to make it so completely miserable was because my whole family would not accept the work that God has appointed me to do.
Let's be real here. Do you really believe that the God that we know who created the heavens and the earths, who healed the sick, made the lame walk and said do not hurt my little children would actually commision a man who made the life of his wife and children a living hell? Do you believe that he would have allowed a man to run around nude in front of his small granddaughter and then force her to pray to God with him for forgiveness afterwards to do his work? Do you believe that God would choose a man who beat his children beyond the norm with belts until he ordered them to cry? Do you believe God would choose a man who smokes and defiles his body daily if he truly was filled with the spirit of God?
Do I think this type of person I described above could ever be saved? My answer is yes. Do I think he is a Messenger or Prophet sent by God? No, absolutely not. Do I think that the type of person described above could be so beyond possessed by the devil that he could believe all he says? Absolutely yes.
I am not a woman of God. I am no prophetess. I am just a normal woman who wants to do better for God and believes that I am predestinated to be his child. I do believe this though, with all my heart; if you are reading this, and you truly want a chance to make all things right before your last breath, before it is too late, drop to the floor, ask God to have mercy on your soul. Call all your family, write them, do what you have to do and plead for forgiveness for all you have done. For all those lives you have attempted to destroy over the years. Beg God to drive that Religious Devil from you before you take that last breath and you finally have to face the real TRUTH, the truth that it is too late.

Amen.
So true. I heard about a man who claims exactly what you described toward the end of your blog who is claiming this very thing. He lives in Jeffersonville, right now with his wife.
I also know of William Branham. A very humble, and Godly man indeed.
The Bible says that some will believe a lie, and be damned. Look at this scripture:
<< 2 Thessalonians 2 >>
King James Version
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
It will be a real disappointment some day for those kind of people.
What I mean is, could you imagine God telling you that you believed a lie, and you were damned, all along thinking that you were a messenger, as the man does on the internet right now?
Satan is using this man, ******, and he doesn't even realize it. He turned his back on the Vindicated Truth that God sent for His Bride in these last days before His coming, and now he is one of those that the scripture you have mentioned, applies to.
II Thessalonians 2
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a
lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness.
This man is deceived, and now he is trying to deceive others. But the True Bride of Christ, will not be deceived.
I will say that there is one statement that this man, ****** has claimed that is true, and that is:
The World is full of Religious leaders who make the claim that what they teach has been revealed to them by God and only they have the truth of His Word and the Bible.
This man is certainly not a religious leader by far, but he is just another one of those people who claim that what "HE" is saying on his blogsite, has been revealed to him by God, ect. ect.
"Claim", is the word, but "NO" real vindication to back up his claim.
A small portion of William Branham's sermon,
62-0311
The Greatest Battle Ever Fought
A man cannot sin until first he casts aside God's Word. He can't even sin (that's disbelieve) until first he gets rid of the Word of God, the Presence of God; he cannot sin. Eve could not sin, until she laid aside God's Word, opening up her channel of reasons to her soul and begin to reason. "Why certainly, my husband's never told me these things, but I believe that you... He told me I shouldn't do this, but you know, you make it so real; it's so plain. I--I believe it would be wonderful, because you're making it so plain to me." See? There was the first battle. And through that battle has caused every other war and every bloodshed that ever come was caused right there at Eden. She disbelieved God's Word. And if one little iota of God's Word was disbelieve, caused all this trouble, how we going to get back, disbelieving the Word? You can't do it.
Remember, all it takes is "One", word of disbelief!
Here again is "Another" sign how this man is being used of Satan. He claims a prophesy that he made will happen to vindicate all that he has said to be truth. Read his following words:
When it does occur, and it absolutely will, then don’t come looking for me as I will probably have already left this Earth, instead read and accept as the Word of God those things that I have written. That’s why I have published these articles on the Internet in more than one place, so they will still be available after I am gone.
I leave you with a word of caution. When this occurs, be careful that you don’t openly deny that it is the work of God. That would constitute blasphemy of the Holy Spirit which cannot be forgiven.
First he tries to convince people that his prophesy "Will Occur". Of course, when it does not occur, which it "Will Absolutely Not", it will just be proof that another "False Prophet" has came, and gone!
The articles he leaves will just be grouped together with all of the other false prophets who have tried to spread their lies and send more souls to hell.
The last thing I am going to say in reference to this man, is a statement about his last paragraph, above:
This is nothing but a "Fear Tactic", trying to warn people to not speak against him because then, in his words, it would constitute blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Another lie of Satan. Only Satan, uses "Fear" to try and control people.
I and many other Members of the Bride of Christ say once again, "Get behind me Satan", return to whence you came!!!! Amen

I have heard about people like this in the world and I am sorry that he has infected your family. I remember stories about Jim Jones and those like him but this is the first time I have actually known of someone peronally who had to grow up with such a person. Sad for you and your family but happy that you have seemed to overcome.
Very well written post. It will be valuable to anybody who utilizes it, as well as myself. Keep doing what you are doing – for sure i will check out more posts.
I love the valuable info you supply in your posts. I like your writing style.
